Importapay Merchant API

Build dependable NGN collections and payouts from your server. These docs are for approved Importapay merchant businesses.

Before you start​

  1. Complete business onboarding and KYB in the Merchant Dashboard.
  2. Enable Merchant API access and create an API key.
  3. Store the key in your backend secrets manager. Never expose it in a browser or mobile app.

Choose a collection flow​

  • Merchant account - typical usecase is you want to receive payments directly into your own account.
  • Dynamic virtual accounts create a single-use receiving account for one exact amount and expire after 30 minutes.

Continue with authentication, then choose a collection flow in Collections.
